CHRISTA’S PEACH COBBLER RECIPE

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups sugar, divided

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 16oz cans peach slices in light syrup

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp Ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp nutmeg (optional)

  • 1 tsp vanilla flavoring

Directions

Melt butter in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish

In large bowl combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, salt; add milk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour batter on melted butter (do not stir)

In a separate bowl combine remaining 1 cup sugar, peaches, vanilla flavor, and lemon juice. Stir until well combined. Pour mixture over batter (do not stir), sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg over mixture.

Bake at 375 for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream.
